    Wushu is a form of contemporary Chinese martial arts that blends elements of performance and martial application. Wushu training emphasizes quickness, explosive power and natural relaxed movement. The Wushu practitioner must combine flexibility with strength, speed with flawless technique and fierce intent with effortless execution. Sincere efforts of late Sri Anand Kacker brought the game to India. He was also the founder General Secretary of the Wushu Association of India. Wushu Association of India is a Member of International Wushu Federation, Wushu Federation of Asia, South Asian Wushu Federation, Recognised By - Deptt of Youth Affairs and Sports (MYAAS) Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India, affiliated with Indian Olympic Association. Modern Wushu integrates Chinese martial arts styles. Wushu was first incorporated into the Asian Games in 1990.
