    Badminton is a sport played with a racket and a shuttlecock (a feathered target in replacement of a ball). It can be played in singles (2 people) or doubles (4 people).It is played on a rectangular court that is divided by a net. The overall dimension of a badminton court is 20 feet by 44 feet. The lines along these measurements mark the sidelines for doubles play and long service lines for singles play. The shuttlecock may only be struck once by each side before it passes over the net. Players score points by hitting the shuttlecock with the racket so it hits the floor over the net on the opponents' half of the court. Pplayer or team with the most points wins. Badminton was incorporated into the Asian Games in 1962. Since 1992, badminton has been a Summer Olympic sport with five events: men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles. At highest level, this sport demands excellent fitness. stamina, agility, strength, speed, and precision.
