SAI CENTRE, BANGALORE 9th to 16th October 2018A shooting sport is a competitive sport involving tests of proficiency (accuracy and speed) using various types of guns, such as firearms and airguns. Shooting sports are categorized by the type of firearm, target, and distance at which the targets are shot. Marksmanship has inspired competition by hitting targets and testing accuracy. International shooting events then evolved and many variations of the sport emerged. Shooting was first incorporated into the Asian Games in 1954.
ರೈಫಲ್ ಶೂಟಿಂಗ್: ಇದೊಂದು ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಾತ್ಮಕ ಕ್ರೀಡೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು ಹಲವು ಪ್ರಕಾರಗಳ, ವಿಧಗಳ ಗನ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಏರ್ಗನ್ ಗಳನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿ ಪರಿಣಿತಿಯ (ನಿಖರತೆ ಹಾಗೂ ವೇಗ) ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಫೈರ್ ಆರ್ಮ್ ನ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಗುರಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಅಂತರದ ಆಧಾರದ ಮೇಲೆ ಶೂಟಿಂಗ್ ಕ್ರೀಡೆಯನ್ನು ವಿಂಗಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಗುರಿಯನ್ನು ಸಾಧಿಸುವುದು ಹಾಗೂ ನಿಖರತೆಯನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವುದರ ಮೂಲಕ ಮಾರ್ಕ್ಸ್ ಮನ್ಶಿಪ್ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಗೆ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಉತ್ತೇಜನ ನೀಡಿದೆ. ಅಂತಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಶೂಟಿಂಗ್ ತದನಂತರ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ರೂಪಗೊಂಡು ಹಲವು ಬಗೆಯ ಪ್ರಕರಗಳುವಿಕಸಿತಗೊಂಡವು. 1954 ಎಶ್ಃಇಯನ್ ಗೇಮ್ಸ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಥಮ ಬಾರಿಗೆ ಶೂಟಿಂಗ್ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
